RESEARCH OFFICER (DATA SCIENCE), ASSESSMENT RESEARCH - 2 YEAR CONTRACT
RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful applicant will play an active role in handling, analysing and mining data to provide meaning analysis and visualisation for decision making. The key responsibilities include:

Analyse large amount of data for trends and patterns, and build predictive models and machine learning algorithms

Apply sound methodologies in data science, statistical analysis and data mining
-
Perform data visualisation to derive insights and value-add to decision making
-
Develop automated marking models for different subjects with constructed responses ranging from answers that are one sentence in length to complex answers requiring an essay or analysis
REQUIREMENTS
-
Tertiary Qualification in Data Science, or Computer Science, or Statistics, with a minimum of 2-3 yearsā€™ experience in manipulating data sets, building statistical models and hands-on experience in machine learning applications

Fresh graduates with relevant exposure can be considered
-
Strong in programming experience and proficient in Python/R/C++

Possess knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques, such as clustering, recommender systems, Natural Language Processing, Deep learning etc., and their real-world applications

Possess knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts, such as regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.
ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER (MARKING AND MODERATION), EXAM OPERATIONS - 2 YEAR CONTRACT
RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful applicant will play an active role inmanaging post-examination activities. The key responsibilities include:
Resource Planning and Procurement

Plan and nominate qualified marking/moderation personnel to ensure the accuracy of marking/moderation

Source and secure appropriate venues, considering factors such as capacity, accessibility, and necessary facilities
-
Procure, configure, and distribute essential equipment and materials to support marking processes
-
Develop and prepare communication materials, training programmes, and instructions for all stakeholders
Oversee the conduct of Post-Examination Activities
-
Supervise all post-examination activities, ensuring adherence to protocols and timelines
-
Provide first-level logistical support to address immediate concerns and minimise disruptions
-
Work with vendor to deliver technical assistance for digital marking platforms, ensuring smooth operation and swift resolution of any issues
-
Track progress in real-time, proactively addressing potential delays
-
Support the script digitisation process, ensuring timely availability of examination materials
Examination Results Management
-
Implement procedures for processing and collating examination marks and results
-
Conduct comprehensive checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of all marks and results
Process and System Improvement
-
Facilitate after-action reviews and perform data analysis to identify areas for enhancement
-
Develop and implement targeted process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in future examination cycles

Participate in requirement gatherings and User Acceptance Testing to improve systems
REQUIREMENTS

Preferably a bachelorā€™s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in educational assessment or examination management
-
Experience in project management and knowledge of procurement processes

Possess strong organisational, problem-solving and planning skills

Able to lead and coordinate small group or project teams

A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate adaptability
-
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or equivalent, with a good understanding of IT systems and basic troubleshooting skills
